PRACTICE & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Sara Spadola is a European Patent Attorney and Deputy Head of the Medtech department at ICOSA.
A graduate of the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), Sara holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University Paris-Saclay. Her doctoral research focused on the in-depth study of the development and preclinical evaluation of a preoperative imaging system for solid tumor surgery, conducted at the prestigious Laboratory for Imaging and Modeling in Neurobiology and Oncology (CNRS Orsay). Her initial education was complemented by a Master’s degree in Medical Physics and Biomedical Devices from the University Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna. She joined ICOSA in 2017.
Passionate about new technologies, digital technologies, and Artificial Intelligence, Sara has built recognized expertise in these cutting-edge technological fields and supports numerous companies, public research institutes, and innovation valorization companies in their innovation protection strategy.
Within the department, she currently leads the specialized team in these advanced technological domains, which is composed of 4 full-time patent attorneys.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CEIPI (Center for International Intellectual Property Studies) diploma with a specialization in patents.
- Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Paris-Saclay.
- Master’s in Medical Physics and Biomedical Devices from the University Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna.
