PRACTICE & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE<\/h3>\n<\/div>

Bastien Fourni\u00e9 is European and French Patent Attorney. A partner and Head of the Medtech Department at ICOSA, he currently leads a team of 12 patent attorneys, whose areas of expertise span a wide range of technological fields, from the Internet of Things (IoT) to medical devices, including sensors, algorithms, software, and Artificial Intelligence, all applied to the healthcare industry.<\/p>\n

Bastien holds an engineering degree from ESCPI – PSL and a Master’s in Innovation Management from Paris Dauphine University. His diverse professional journey began with roles as a research engineer in both public institutions (ESCPI\/CNRS and CEA) and the industry (Schlumberger).<\/p>\n

In 2014, he began his career as a patent attorney at a globally-oriented generalist IP firm, where he qualified as a European and French Patent Attorney. His expertise later led him to the medical device industry. He headed the IP department of a leading player in the healthcare-connected device sector before joining ICOSA in 2021.<\/p>\n

Today, Bastien’s team supports numerous startups, small and medium-sized health sector enterprises, in their efforts to enhance and protect their intellectual property assets, overseeing all procedures before the French (INPI) and European (EPO) intellectual property offices, and also in guiding their innovation strategies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
