Christophe de Groote is a European Patent Attorney. He joined ICOSA Europe in 2023 as Of-Counsel.<\/p>\n

Christophe began his career in 1986 by developing automatic visual quality control systems in the nuclear industry (Belgonucl\u00e9aire). A few years later, he was hired at Nissan’s European research and development center (Nissan European Technology Centre). He stayed there for ten years and led a team responsible for technological and regulatory monitoring for the European market, specifically in the field of advanced electronic systems and alternative propulsion systems (electric and hybrid vehicles).<\/p>\n

He then pivoted his career by joining an intellectual property firm, where he became the director of the patent department and a member of the board of directors. Shortly after leaving this firm, he set up his own practice and later formed the firm Pecher & de Groote, which became ABYOO in 2016. ABYOO then joined the ICOSA group in June 2023.<\/p>\n

Throughout his journey, Christophe has gained significant experience, both in the industrial and corporate world and in the realm of intellectual property. He also has specialized experience in patent litigation, both in Belgium and abroad. In Belgium, he has completed several assignments as a Judicial Expert in seizure-description procedures.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
